Beacon North was the second “Beacon” project built after Beacon Centre. Most parcels were sold or build-to-suit to compa-nies such Amercdisc, US Cargo, Barnett Bank as well as a condominium warehouse developer. The major transaction in the park was with Kintetsu Worldwide, a Japanese freight forwarder who negotiated a two-phase 100,000 SF each building BTS-lease. Prior to taking occupancy, Kintetsu agreed to buy the facility with the extra four acres for phase II.
Beacon Lakes, presently known as ProLogis Beacon Lakes, is the latest of the business parks in the Airport West market. Buildings were built with 28’ clear, rear loading and in the 200,000 SF size range. It consists of 640 acres mixed-use business park with approximately 6 million square feet of industrial space.

Beacon Industrial Park is an 85-acre park with approx. 1.4 million of industrial space designed with freight forwarders in mind. The property has wide roads and buildings are rear loading. The project was developed by the Codina Group and sold upon completion to AMB. ProLogis currently owns 780,000 SF. The building depth allows for tenant bay sizes of 6,400. The perimeter of the park was developed and sold to small business owners in the size of 12,000 SF to 22,000 SF. Major tenants included Emery Worldwide and UNISA. Build-ings are 24’ clear, rear loading and in the 100,000 SF size range.
